While the name of Pierre Gasly comes up insistently to replace Fernando Alonso at Alpine, the AlphaTauri driver obviously did not confirm anything, but spoke of “mutual respect” with his compatriot Esteban Ocon.

Esteban Ocon et Pierre Gasly Although they rubbed shoulders in Normandy in their early childhood, the two young men have never made a secret of the freshness of their relationship since. Only then, when Radio Paddock reports a reciprocal interest between Alpine and Pierre Gasly, the idea of the feasibility of an association between the two French drivers on the grid questions. If Esteban Ocon assured that his relationship with Pierre was "Good", specifying that he would like to see Mick Schumacher by his side in 2023, Gasly also made his little comment. “Esteban and I have known each other for a long time. I have a lot of respect for him as a driver. We respect each other, and that’s always been the case.”, he confirmed.

In summary, the relationship between the two men has not fundamentally changed, but they would be ready, if they had to, to put their personal history aside to collaborate. It’s difficult for either of us to say otherwise anyway. However, it is not because Pierre Gasly agreed to address the question of Esteban Ocon that he confirmed anything with regard toAlpine. “I don’t want to comment on anything, he warned in the Dutch paddock. I am with Alpha Tauri and I give my best for them. They gave me my first seat and my first victory in F1, I have a contract with them and everyone knows it. Nothing has changed. In June I was announced at McLaren, in July at AlphaTauri and now at Alpine. Many things have been said but one thing is certain: I have a contract with AlphaTauri.

As a reminder, following the surprise departure of Fernando Alonso toward Aston Martin and the real false tenure ofOscar piastri which is rather seen at McLaren (ongoing case handled by the CRB), Alpine is looking for the ideal complement to Esteban Ocon, who is under contract for two more seasons. Several names are mentioned, and according to our information, the Pierre Gasly track is officially the hottest. Only problem, and it's a big one, the Norman is still under contract Red Bull for a year, and Helmut Marko does not intend to give it up, at least not without a satisfactory counterpart.

Otherwise there is still no one at the Hebdo to reread the papers and correct the typos?

Red Bull Racing will ask for a small check from Alpine who will pay for this good Helmut... with the dollars that McLaren will quickly give him to keep Piastri, it's already written!!
