This is an episode of which Alpha Tauri would have gone well at the British Grand Prix. While both drivers were in the points, Yuki tsunoda attempted a maneuver to overtake his teammate in the first sector. Problem, the Japanese lost control of his car and came to hit Pierre Gasly. Both drivers tried to continue their races, but the Habs then decided to go to the pit lane to end their race. Obviously, the AlphaTauri driver was very disappointed to miss a great opportunity to score points on a track where his car was far from being the fastest.

« Extremely disappointing, it's true that we got off to a great start. We were both in the points and there was this clash. We will have to talk about it internally because we are losing a lot of points. It broke our backs so once the incident was over it was already too late, but I don't think it was necessary. This will have to be discussed within the team. », explains the Frenchman at the microphone of Canal +

But before this clash with his teammate, Pierre Gasly had already had a turbulent start. Indeed, the Habs were involved in the accident at the start of the race between George Russell et Guanyu-Zhou. " It was impressive, I'm trying to follow Latifs to pass between Zhou and Russell and I think it was George who squeezed a little to the left and suddenly there was a big incident. I'm glad to know that Zhou is okay and it could have been more serious than that.", describes the Norman. The Grand Prix debriefing promises to be eventful at AlphaTauri.
