Pirelli sporting director Paul Hembery calls foradvantage of support from stakeholders in the F1 following the incidents at the Belgian GP at Spa-Francorchamps last August where the Italian supplier's tires were criticized following the bursts observed on the Mercedes by Nico Rosberg and the Ferrari de Sebastian Vettel.
“This job can sometimes be thankless”, confessed Paul Hembery to the SID news agency. “F1 is a great discipline, but that doesn’t mean that certain things shouldn’t change. Expectations should be more realistic based on what we can or cannot do. If people sometimes saw what was going on here, they might feel like we can't do our job the way we want. F1 must prove that it can work with its partners. »
Pirelli however received support from the FOM after having returned his report following the incidents at the Belgian GP which satisfied the FIA. Paul Hembery certainly remembered the criticisms made by Sebastian Vettel and Scuderia Ferrari.
