For Vettel, copying is the best flattery

2017 marks a renewal for Ferrari after a year 2016 without victories but also several difficult seasons, particularly since the arrival of V6 turbo engines. With 4 victories on the clock so far, Sebastian Vettel achieves the best season for the Italians since 2010 and the 5 victories of Fernando Alonso.

« It's good for the team, explains the German driver quoted by ESPN. We have to admit that we didn't have the best car in recent years and we weren't the best in development either, but I think the progress we have this year is a completely different story and we continue to progress. »

The change in technical regulations for 2017 was well received by Ferrari, which seized the opportunity to return to the level of Mercedes and exceed Red Bull Racing. According to Vettel, this success made others envious of other teams who would have copied certain Italian parts.

« We brought a lot of parts, we saw some of them being copied by others, but it's a pretty good sign and proof that we are working hard and well and what we have put into this car and this project. We will continue to give our all. »

After eleven races, Ferrari has accumulated 318 points, 94 more than in 2016 during the same period.
