Presentation of the Renault R30

Renault, after a very difficult 2009 season, wanted to start again on new bases in 2010. To contrast with the look of the old car, the 2010 version uses the historic colors in F1 of the Diamond brand. Yellow and black are therefore predominant, contrasting with the orange or blue of past seasons (view the photo album).

As for the drivers, the Valencia presentation confirmed what AUTOhebdo.fr affirmed on Wednesday: Vitaly Petrov will support Robert Kubica in 2010. The GP2 Series vice-champion in 2009 will therefore be the first Russian driver in Formula 1.

Renault will begin its pre-season testing this week in Valencia, at the Ricardo-Tormo circuit, where the first winter testing session is taking place (February 1-3).

In addition to the two regular drivers, Renault also presented two of the three reserve drivers, two drivers taken care of by Gravity Management: Ho-Pin Tung will be the team's third driver, while Jérôme d'Ambrosio will be reserve driver. In addition to the Chinese and the Belgian, the Czech Jan Charouz, champion of Le Mans Series in 2009, will also be reserve driver for the firm's Losange team.
