Unidentified problem at Kimi Räikkönen

On pace this morning during the first free practice sessions at the Hungaroring in Budapest, the Ferrari F14 Ts of Fernando Alonso and Kimi Räikkönen appeared slightly further back in the afternoon. If no particular problem is to be deplored with the Spaniard, Iceman encountered a problem at left rear, but that the Team has not yet identified.

“In the second part of the session I did a race simulation with both tire specifications. Unfortunately, when I passed the mediums, I had a problem with the left rear and I had to come back to the pits earlier than planned. Telemetry has not shown any particular issues with the car at the moment, so I hope the data will point us in the right direction for the next two days. » explains the Finn.

At Fernando Alonso, if the performance is not yet what was hoped for, things are going in the right direction. “I think we’re in the right direction. Here, there is more work than usual, with the temperatures and the lack of grip. But, our work produced results and we improved with each outing. »

The F14 Ts will return to the track tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. for the final free practice session in Hungary, to be followed of course live on AUTOhebdo.fr.
