It's from the great Kimi Räikkönen (Ferrari) who arrived in Singapore for the 15th round of the 2018 season of Formula 1. The Finn took part in the Thursday press conference and was understandably bombarded with questions on his two-year contract with Sauber.
Asked about the reason for such an unexpected transfer, the 2007 world champion simply blurted out " And why not ? » The courageous reporter continued his requests and the Scuderia driver finally released a few sentences.

"I guess you know what happened." I don't know what else you want to know. I wanted to go there (at Sauber). Why are you trying to make this so complicated? I don't know any more than you guys. I have my reasons, obviously, and I don't care what people think as long as I'm happy. »
Another dig addressed to journalists when we ask him if he retains the passion for his sport. “No, not at all actually. It's just to make fun of you if I signed (with Sauber) and I'm going to spend two years here without being happy. »
He could end up with the most race starts in F1 history by 2020

A dialogue followed with Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) then seated next to him, when a journalist asks him if he will end his career in F1 after two years at Sauber.
“Kimi Räikkönen: There is a big possibility, that’s clear! I'm not interested in numbers and records, but purely in what I consider right for me.
– Lewis Hamilton: How many seasons will that be?
– KR: No idea. I spent two years on vacation (in 2010 and 2011, in WRC with Citroën!)
– LH: Yeah, but with two more years, how many years in F1 will that give you a total of? 16.
– KR: Yeah. Not huge.
– LH: It’s still a lot! I think that should be applauded.
– KR: We’ll see. Hoping I stay healthy and all that comes with it! »
