After leaving the free practice sessions frustrated, Pierre Gasly found a smile again after qualifying. If on Friday evening he recognized that his car needed to be reworked to be able to perform well on Saturday, the message went through well with its engineers. A work that the Norman did not fail to salute after having obtained his eighth place on the grid for the United States Grand Prix (he benefits from the 5 place penalty of Valtteri Bottas to gain a position). “I think we can be satisfied today, we have the top four teams in front of us, so we start in a good position. Friday was a bit tougher than we expected today, and with Valtteri's penalty we will be in P8.".

Returning to this Austin circuit for the first time since 2019, the driver Alpha Tauri will be keen to do better than a 12e place, his best result achieved here in 2018. “We have a lot of strategy options available to us, so we will have to look at all the possibilities and choose the best option for Sunday”. The United States Grand Prix will start at 21 p.m. this Sunday evening.
