Who to replace Massa at Valencia?

While Felipe Massa gradually recovers his means? the hospital director even announced that the Brazilian could be released within 10 days? The question of his replacement for the next European Grand Prix inevitably arises. The Brazilian should in fact not be able to appeal straight away. If Luca di Montezemolo, the president of Ferrari, is relatively optimistic about his rapid return to the Team, however, it could be that this will be somewhat delayed.

In Valencia, several drivers could then take their place in the seat of the F60. The Italian Luca Badoer and the Spaniard Marc Gené, who are the team's test drivers, are necessarily the first names mentioned. The first has the particularity of knowing the team well since he has been present as a test driver since 2000. On the other hand, his last Grand Prix dates back to 1999 when he was with Minardi.

Marc Gené, for his part, has more recent racing experience since he completed two Grand Prix for Williams in 2004 and has just won the 24 Hours of Le Mans at the wheel of a Peugeot 908 HDi. The latter seems to be the most plausible option to date to compensate for the absence of Massa for the next Grand Prix(s).

Finally, among the names circulating in the press, let us cite those of Sébastien Bourdais, recently dismissed from the team Toro Rosso, Bruno Senna, who was once expected to join Honda at the end of last season, Jacques Villeneuve who no longer hides his desire to return to the wheel of a F1 or that of Michael Schumacher !
