Racing Point was finally able to calmly prepare the development of an F1

The Racing Point team is approaching spring much more calmly than in 2018. Twelve months ago, the team was called Force India and was facing very serious cash flow problems. At the dawn of the 2019 campaign, the arrival to the rescue of the family Stroll and new sponsors made it possible to resume peaceful work at the factory.

The British team (its official name with the FIA being Racing Point UK Limited) can even carry out a development program worthy of its rank. « The design and creation process of the RP19 were generally improving compared to previous years, explains Andrew Green, the technical director of Racing Point.

This is the positive result of the change of ownership. We are already looking beyond the car winter testing in Barcelona (Spain, February 18-21 and February 26-March 1). We prepare what we will bring in the first race (Melbourne March 17), then to the Grand Price from Spain in May, and what we need to think about when developing the package. This is something we haven't been able to do before », recognizes the English engineer.
