Racing Point maintains appeal in brake duct case

They too decided to go through with it. Not for the same reasons obviously. Racing Point has confirmed its decision to appeal the stewards' decision regarding the DNA of its controversial brake ducts.

After several complaints brought by Renault, the panel of commissioners came to the conclusion that these elements, which must be designed by each team to claim Manufacturer status F1 since this year, were the work of Mercedes

An infraction which cost Racing Point a whopping 400 euros and a withdrawal of 000 points from the results of the Styrian Grand Prix. While several rivals of the pink team consider the sanction too lenient, Renault and Ferrari having officially appealed the verdict, the former Force India structure still believes that it has not violated any regulations.

Lawrence Stroll, big boss of the team which will become Aston Martin in 2021, was moved last weekend in a long video where he criticized what he considers to be a lack of fair play from his opponents.

The Canadian businessman had declared that he wanted to use all possible means to prove the innocence of Racing Point. Promise kept with the maintenance of this call.
