Räikkönen full of confidence with Lotus

Despite his poor qualifying during the first two races of the season, Kimi Räikkönen performed well in the race to occupy seventh position in the Championship with 16 points scored. The 2007 world champion regrets the various problems which marred the start of the Lotus season but displays established confidence in the qualities of the E20. “I think we've had an encouraging start to the season. We had some frustrating times with chassis problems in practice and lackluster qualifying in Australia and Malaysia. But we proved that we can deal with these problems and come back stronger. The team is doing a very good job, it makes things easier. There car is good and we definitely have the speed to fight up front. We just need to get a little luckier. »

Kimi Räikkönen also seems more relaxed than he has been in the past. Iceman, however, claims to have remained the same after his experience of WRC where he had to show humility. The Finn highlights the good atmosphere that reigns within the British team. “Maybe people see me more relaxed, which I think is due to the team. It's a different atmosphere compared to what I've experienced in the past. Everyone is very open and at the same time they work really hard and pay a lot of attention to the smallest detail. I am comfortable in this team and it helps me concentrate on the race. I think that's why people think I'm different, but I'm just as focused and motivated as before. »
