Kimi Räikkönen and Antonio Giovinazzi, team drivers Alfa Romeo en Formula 1, took part in a day of testing behind the wheel of the new Giulia GTA and GTAm. These tests took place at the Balocco test center where the Italian brand's cars have been developed since the 1960s. The original GTA was also one of the first to benefit from it in 1965.
The testing session allowed both drivers to take the cars to the limit and provide feedback in real time. Information and debriefing sessions then took place in the Autodelta workshop, the historic racing department of Alfa Romeo.
Their aim was to provide specific technical suggestions aimed at optimizing the aerodynamics and handling of the cars. Alfa Romeo has entrusted Sauber Engineering with the production of most of the carbon components of the GTA and GTAm, in particular those relating to aerodynamics.
