Räikkönen pessimistic at Canadian Grand Prix

Canadian Grand Prix qualifying was a tough time for Lotus F1 Team. The single-seaters of the teamenstone had difficulty getting their rubber up to temperature. Romain Grosjean was even eliminated from Q1 while Kimi Räikkönen struggled to ninth place on the grid before being penalized two places on the grid (one place following the penalty of Daniel Ricciardo). The Finn points to the rainy conditions to explain this poor performance. “We had no grip in these conditions and we did our best. It was all the more difficult as the rain intensified at times while the track began to dry at others. Ninth place does not meet our expectations. This weather does not seem favorable to us. We couldn't get the rubbers to work, which made the exercise very difficult. »

Kimi Räikkönen is now hoping to benefit from dry weather for the Grand Prix in order to try to gain positions in the peloton. But the weather remains uncertain for the race. “Some forecasts say it will be dry and others say it will be wet. We will have better chances if the weather remains good. If we find weather like today, the race will be more difficult for us, but you never know what can happen. It probably won't be one of our best weekends, but we'll do our best.
