Räikkönen extends at Ferrari
Kimi Räikkönen will continue to evolve within the Team Ferrari in 2018. The 2007 world champion extended his contract with the Prancing Horse for one season. The Italian team confirmed the news with a brief press release.
“Scuderia Ferrari has extended its technical and sporting contract with Kimi Räikkönen. The Finnish driver will continue to drive for the Maranello team in 2018. simply indicated the team.
Kimi Räikkönen first joined Scuderia Ferrari from 200 to 2009 after spending five seasons with McLaren. After a three-year break where he tried his hand at Nascar and WRC, he returned to Lotus F1 Team in 2012 before returning to the Italian team from 2014 having Sebastian Vettel for teammate. The Finn is still looking to secure his first victory since the 2013 Australian GP in Melbourne.
