Red Bull looks grim

Sebastian Vettel was the happiest pilot Red Bull, having not encountered any major problems. The German was also able to finish the second free practice session with the second best time, less than three tenths behind Lewis Hamilton (McLaren). Despite everything, the vice-World Champion was not satisfied.

« I encountered a few small problems, but nothing serious, says Vettel, in comparison with his teammate. Mark unfortunately had to stop and was unable to finish the session, his engine having failed. I wasn?t 100% happy today. I think we still need to gain speed. The McLarens and Mercedes seem fast and Ferrari has a good pace during long outings. We'll see where we are. This circuit is one of the most difficult due to the heat and humidity. »

For his part, with a recalcitrant engine, Mark Webber was even less satisfied, not having been able to drive as much as he would have liked. “ It was the engine, confirms the Australian, victim of a sudden loss of power. You don?t want to see your Friday disrupted and this problem deprived us of a lot of time on the track. The car was quite good at high and low speeds, however. It's never good to lose an engine but that's how it is. »
