Renault completes more than 250 laps at the Red Bull Ring
115 turns for Daniel Ricciardo yesterday, 143 loops this Wednesday for Esteban Ocon. In total, the two days of driving in Austria on the Red Bull Ring, the pilots of Renault F1 Team have accumulated just over 1 km on track with the 000 R.S 18, in preparation for the start of F2018 in early July in Spielberg.
The French team chose to use its car from two seasons ago so as not to be limited to the 100 km of filming that Racing Point F1 was able to carry out, for example, at Silverstone with the current RP20.
A similar philosophy adopted by Mercedes, back in action with the W09 that Lewis Hamilton et Valtteri Bottas had found at Silverstone last week.
