Renault: Ghosn must decide

Renault will continue well F1 next season but the sale of 75% of the team's shares has now been confirmed, following the board of directors meeting which took place last Thursday. According to Le Parisien, Carlos Ghosn must choose this Monday from the two files still in the running. On one side, Gérard Lopez and Genii Capital, on the other, David Richards and Prodrive. After the choice of the buyer, the contract should be signed on Tuesday and the formalization will take place on Wednesday.

As planned, Bob Bell, team director, addressed his troops on Friday. Still according to the Parisian, Bell confirmed that Robert Kubica would indeed be the driver of the team.enstone in 2010, whoever the buyer is. The Pole has also remained loyal to Renault, despite the uncertainty surrounding the team. The daily mentions the names of two drivers to support Robert Kubica: Kamui Kobayashi and Nick Heidfeld.

In addition to the resale of 75% of the team's shares, the team will keep the Renault name for the next two years, in particular to comply with the Concorde Agreements. In addition, the manufacturer will remain 100% owner of the Viry-Châtillon factory for the supply of V8 engines to Renault teams and, very probably, Red Bull. Sebastian Vettel has in fact confided in the German media that his team will continue to run with French engines.
