Ricciardo has Ferrari and Williams in his sights

Daniel Ricciardo announced its objectives for the 2016 season during the presentation of the new Red Bull Racing livery. After a winless season, the Australian's hopes turn to the development of the Power Unit of Renault (rebadged Tag Heuer).

“The room for improvement is significant with this Power Unit, more than with those of Ferrari et Mercedes », underlined Daniel Ricciardo. “If we can have the right ingredients, we will make big progress. The question is when. »

“I like to think that we will be competitive when we arrive in Europe (with the Spanish GP on May 15), to be in a situation where we would get closer to Ferrari and where we would be in front Williams. We were supposed to have regular upgrades (on the engine) last year, but they didn't come on time and (Renault) didn't really give what we needed.", maintained the Australian.

Daniel Ricciardo now dreams of returning to success, his last victory dating back to the 2014 Belgian Grand Prix. “The season is long, but a victory will not be easy to achieve if it comes”, admitted the 2009 British champion F3. “I would like to aim for more, but one would be a good start. We only had two podiums last year (in Hungary and Singapore). A victory would certainly mean a few more podiums. A success in Monaco would not displease me! »
