Ricciardo “I was really under pressure”

During the second part of the Canadian Grand Prix, Daniel Ricciardo was put under pressure by the two Force Indias behind him in search of a first podium.

« I put pressure on myself not to make a mistake, he explains at the end of the race. It was weird because I managed to break away and then they managed to catch me afterwards. I was really careful in the last sector because I knew it would be very complicated if they had DRS."

After the incident between Pérez and Or with in the final laps, Ricciardo might have thought he was breathing but could only rest once he had crossed the line.

« I was happy to see the last round because I knew that Hag had overtaken Pérez and was in charge. This checkered flag was particularly magnificent."

The pilot Red Bull signed his third consecutive podium and settled comfortably in fifth place in the championship.
