Ricciardo: Ferrari rumors are funny

Daniel Ricciardo does not seem to believe the rumors from the paddock evoking an interest from the Team Ferrari. The Australian is struggling to showcase himself this season in the Grands Prix, handicapped by a Red Bull RB11 lacking performance. On the other hand, Kimi Räikkönen's future is still uncertain, with the 2007 world champion struggling to compare with his teammate Sebastian Vettel which is ahead of him by 59 points.

“I don’t know where these rumors started, it really blew up.”, commented Daniel Ricciardo, quoted on the official F1 website. “Ferrari is probably the only top team with a steering wheel that would possibly be available and I suppose that's why my name and that of a few others are being bandied about. »

The Australian trained by Red Bull does not seem to give value to these speculations. “It’s a bit of fun. Talking about this creates some variety in the discussions. It's nice to know that some teams are interested in my performance, but I'm already in a top team... I'm my manager and I've never had any discussions (with Ferrari), but I guess we've had some indirectly through the press! », joked the driver of the Austrian team.
