Ricciardo: the outings are more violent

Daniel Ricciardo went off the track during qualifying for the Australian GP (see video). The pilot Red Bull who is competing in his national event this weekend, went off the track in Q3 when he could hope for a place in the top six of the starting grid, causing a red flag.

If Daniel Ricciardo remains satisfied with the performances obtained with the new F1 cars, he emphasizes that the track exits have become more impressive and surprising.

“It happened quickly, explained Daniel Ricciardo. I felt the rear give way. I tried to catch up with her but it was already too late. With the increase in support and grip, losses of control become more violent and aggressive. »

“There’s still a bit to learn. I'm not used to ending up in the wall and this outing was really surprising. The cars grip more on the track, but they bite a little more when things go wrong. They’re new beasts, but I’m staying positive and enjoying them.”, added the Red Bull driver.

Ricciardo keeps his spirits up

Daniel Ricciardo will have to start from tenth position on the grid for the Australian GP, hoping to take advantage of the race events to gain positions.

“I’m sorry to give more work to the team who have already had a long weekend to prepare the cars. I hope to come back tomorrow and achieve a better result than the one obtained today.", indicated Daniel Ricciardo.

Max Verstappen, Daniel Ricciardo's teammate, will start from 5th position between the Ferrari by Kimi Räikkönen and the Haas de Romain Grosjean.
