Ricciardo remains realistic about his goals

While Mercedes dominated the last two seasons of F1 with the Drivers' and Manufacturers' titles, the paddock seems to be preparing once again to see the Silver Arrows evolve at the forefront despite the return to favor of the Team Ferrari.

Daniel Ricciardo shares this point of view while Red Bull Racing hopes to get back to winning ways after an unsuccessful season. “Their reliability was really good last year and they're in a good position to keep it that way. I absolutely won't be surprised if they score a double, not just in Melbourne (at the Australian Grand Prix on March 20), but in the first four races.", commented the Australian on ESPN.

The Red Bull driver hopes his team will be able to fight against Williams. “Mercedes and Ferrari are in the sights at the moment. Williams follows and we should be in their position or just behind.", added Daniel Ricciardo. “There remains a lot of unknowns with Force India and Toro Rosso which seem competitive. I don't want to say that we will end up tenth in the first race, but I am aiming for a top seven. If we achieve strong results at the start of the year, a team like Red Bull will be able to progress at the start of the European season (with the Spanish GP played on May 15 at the Catalunya circuit in Barcelona). »

Daniel Ricciardo wants to stay loyal to the team that gave him access to F1, but the Australian will not hesitate to leave the Red Bull if a better opportunity presents itself.

“If I had to choose which team I would like to win my first title with, it would be Red Bull. At the same time, I don't want to spend a decade in the discipline remaining loyal without winning a title, so we have to find a balance.", indicated the Australian Sydney Morning Herald.
