Romain Grosjean and Tom Kristensen return to the RoC

The next edition of the Race of Champions which will take place on December 13 and 14 on the Bushy Park Circuit in Barbados (Caribbean) has its first two participants. Romain Grosjean and Tom Kristensen, the two finalists of the last edition held in 2012 in Bangkok (Thailand), have confirmed their presence.

The Lotus driver will seek to defend his title acquired two years ago, the 2013 edition not having been able to be contested due to the demonstrations which shook Thailand. “It's a fun event where all the drivers are 100% and where we can also have fun on the track. It's even more special for me since I won the "Champion of Champions" title during the last event. I'm looking forward to going to Barbados because I know the spectators are big motorsport fans. I will also do everything to win the RoC Nations Cup because it is always special to ride for your country. »

Tom Kristensen, the man with nine victories in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, has been present at every edition of the Race of Champions since 2001. The Dane intends to take his revenge this year. “I continue to come to the Race of Champions because it is a special event and a unique chance to compete against drivers from all backgrounds. It seems like I get closer to winning every year. Who knows, maybe it will be my turn this time…”
