The 2016 Formula 1 world champion believes his former sport should put thermal blocks in the museum if the whole world sells electric or hydrogen cars.

Rosberg pushes for a change in mentalities on electricity

Nico Rosberg has never hidden his interest in technological innovations. The 2016 world champion Formula 1 became minority shareholder of Formula e et was able to try the 2% electric Gen100 in Berlin (Germany) in 2018. 

So many initiatives which reinforce his position regarding the future of F1. “If the whole world sells electric or hydrogen cars, F1 could not keep its gasoline engines. That wouldn't make any sense. At some point they will have to change, I think.”, he explained at the World Economic Forum in Davos (Switzerland).

“Two years ago, everyone was rejecting electric vehicles, and now, some heat engine enthusiasts are opening their minds. It becomes “cool” very quickly.”, continued the former pilot Williams et Mercedes
