Rosberg: “Who can criticize me? »

Nico Rosberg is preparing to enjoy his retirement. After winning the world title, 34 years after his father Keke, the German wants to enjoy his family with his wife Vivian and his little daughter. The pilot Mercedes defeated his teammate Lewis Hamilton, benchmark of the plateau, which remained on two consecutive coronations.

If Nico Rosberg's decision surprised a good part of the paddock, and in particular Mercedes management who was not prepared for such a sudden retirement of his pilot, the German insisted on defending his choice.

“I am very grateful because the majority supports me in my decision, declared Nico Rosberg to AFP. Obviously, there are always people who have a different opinion but at the end of the day, I'm changing jobs, who can criticize me?! Everyone has their own choice and everyone has their own way! No one can put themselves in my situation. »

Mercedes F1 must still find a replacement as F1 enters a new chapter with the 2017 regulations.

“I also understand that there are people who are disappointed because this fight with Lewis, I imagine, was beautiful. To those, I want to say, look back at the past three years and have this fantastic memory. That's what I'm going to do. It was an incredible time, I'm proud to have been there and to have beaten Lewis and to be world champion at the end." maintained Nico Rosberg.
