Rosberg complains of being slowed down by Hamilton

Nico Rosberg's complaints after the Chinese GP will certainly reignite debates on the lack of overtaking caused by the tires. While Lewis Hamilton managed his advance in Shanghai to win his second victory of the season in front of his German teammate, the latter complained of the false pace adopted by the Briton placing him under the threat of Ferrari de Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Räikkönen chasing the W06 Hybrid.

“It’s interesting to hear Lewis say he was focused on his race.”, comments Nico Rosberg at a press conference. « It unnecessarily compromised my race by allowing Sebastian to get very close to me and attempt an early stop to gain the advantage. »

Lewis Hamilton denied having deliberately slowed down to allow Sebastian Vettel to catch up with Nico Rosberg. His defense stands to the extent that it is the Scuderia Ferrari driver who is his most serious opponent with 13 points behind at the end of the Chinese event, compared to 17 points for Nico Rosberg. “It’s not my job to follow Nico’s race.”, insists the Grand Prix winner. “I just manage my car and get it to the finish line as quickly as possible. I had no desire to slow down the cars following me. »
