Sainz Jr: “Only 12 days to prepare for Melbourne”

Carlos Sainz Jr will have to make the most of his time spent behind the wheel of la Toro Rosso STR10 during winter testing. If the Faenza single-seater presented this Saturday January 31 in Jerez (Spain) has already driven during a promotional event in Misano in Italy (see video), the reigning Formula champion Renault 3.5 Series will be the first to take the wheel of the car on the Spanish circuit.

“I am happy to make my first appearance as a driver F1 here in Spain and I’m looking forward to testing the car for the first time tomorrow”, commented Carlos Sainz Jr. “I worked really hard over the winter to keep myself fit and I also spent some time in Faenza getting acquainted with the team and training for a few days on the simulator. We now only have 12 days to prepare for Melbourne. The procedures of a race weekend will therefore be a priority for me, as will accumulating the kilometers. »
