Sauber F1 Team to stay with Ferrari for several seasons
It is no surprise to receive confirmation of the extension of the partnership between Sauber F1 Team and Ferrari. The Swiss team has just announced that it will remain powered by the engines of Maranello next year when the discipline will move to the V6 1.6 T/H. Future Saubers will also receive the SREC and gearbox developed by the Italian manufacturer. The Prancing Horse has been working alongside Sauber for several seasons now.
“We are pleased to extend our technical partnership with Ferrari to take Sauber into a new era of powertrains which takes shape in 2014.”, comments Monisha Kaltenborn, Team Principal of Sauber F1 Team. “Ferrari became an important partner of the team, first from 1997 to 2005 and then from 2010. We are proud to extend this partnership with such a prestigious manufacturer. »
