Since the start of winter testing in Jerez, the Sauber C34 and the turbo/hybrid V6 Ferrari did not encounter any major mechanical problems. If Brazilian Felipe Nasr led to an interruption of the session this morning, following an exit from the track, it was indeed the former resident of the GP2 Series who climbed at the top of the timesheet in 1’21”545, while having once again crossed the barrier of 100 laps completed this Tuesday.
“It was another positive day, Nasr explains. We did a lot of miles, and we were able to get a better understanding of the car. On top of that, we used different tires in different conditions, and we played with the set-up. At the end of the day, I was able to complete a few long runs to get an idea of how the car behaves with heavy fuel loads, like in racing conditions. It was important for me to get used to all these different things. It was a very positive two days. »
The Swede Marcus Ericsson will be lined up tomorrow for the last day of the Andalusian tests.
