Schumacher does not give up

Michael Schumacher, who accumulated records during his career in Formula 1, will never move away from the sport which established him as one of the greatest champions of world sport. And if he was unable to return to Formula 1 this season due to a painful neck (following a motorcycle accident), the seven-time world champion does not want to give up on a possible return.

To justify his desire to get back behind the wheel of F1, the German attests that he will no longer be hampered for medical reasons. “ By the end of the year, my neck will be completely healed, so much so that I will be able to run again », Says Michael Schumacher in an interview to be published on Monday in Der Spiegel.

« I have nothing to prove to anyone, not even to myself, continues the team advisor Ferrari. I still regret a little after retiring three years ago. There is no reason for me to announce that I will never return. The life I lead makes me happy but who knows what will happen in the coming months? »

At Ferrari, Stefano Domenicali and Luca di Montezemolo are in favor of seeing Michael Schumacher at the wheel again. But, already having a talented crew (Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa) for 2010, the Scuderia would like to be able to run a third car.
