Sebastian Vettel will give his all at Hockenheim

The 2014 season is clearly not what the reigning four-time world champion hoped for. Overwhelmed by mechanics on numerous occasions, left behind in performance by the Silver Arrows Mercedes W05 Hybrid and dominated by his Australian teammate Daniel Ricciardo, Sebastian Vettel arrives in Germany in a position of outsider. But for all that, the pilot Red Bull does not intend to give up in front of his audience.

“I’ve always loved the atmosphere at Hockenheim. When you arrive at the track in the morning, the circuit is already filled with fans and when you are in the car you can see lots of German flags in the stands. It’s these little things that I really love about Hockenheim. We receive a lot of encouragement. During practice, you know that the fans in the stands are there to support you and are with you no matter what. Of course you want to give as much as possible to the fans, but sometimes it's not your responsibility. However, we will attack throughout the weekend and give our all. »

The world champion will also want to forget his disappointment of 2012. Indeed, during the last appearance of the F1 at Hockenheim, Sebastian Vettel finished in 5th position, in a Grand Prix won by Fernando Alonso on his Ferrari. The German received a 20-second penalty for overtaking outside the limits of the track. McLaren by Jenson Button.
