Sebastian Vettel wins at Silverstone

Started in pole position, Sebastian Vettel knows that he hasn't done the hardest part. Indeed, a fortnight ago, he started in the lead ahead of Jenson Button before going too wide before the end of the first lap, leaving the leadership to the Briton, who then won easily. It is therefore with extreme motivation that the German attacks this GP, quickly taking flight. Behind, Räikkönen moved up to fifth position, while Button slipped to ninth place, before catching Massa.

The German prodigy of Red Bull escapes in the lead (18?? lead after 18 laps), while his rivals stop in the pits. Sufficiently fast, Vettel can leave, after his own refueling, in first position, with a comfortable lead. Behind, Webber overtook Barrichello in the pit stops, like Massa, who moved up to fifth position, ahead of Trulli.

Far from it, a colorful duel interests the stands of Silverstone. The two world champions Alonso et Hamilton, former teammates at Mc Laren struggle? for 14th place! But, with single-seaters that cannot fight at the front, the stars of the paddocks deliver personal challenges. Like Kovalainen who, after a pit stop, wants to keep Bourdais behind him. Zigzagging in front of the Frenchman, the McLaren sees the Toro Rosso grab his left rear tire with his nose. A lap later, both men retired.

At the forefront, positions no longer change. Sebastian Vettel takes off, Mark Webber consolidates his second place and Rubens Barrichello completes the virtual podium. A few hectometers further, Massa, Rosberg and Button are competing for fourth place, with an advantage at the Ferrari, which behaves much better than the drivers could have imagined before the race. The 60 laps of Silverstone confirm a magnificent double for the Red Bull drivers, who truly position themselves as the main rivals of the Brawn GP, after a weekend which they dominated from start to finish.
