Sébastien and Sébastien chart their path

Even if he is operating here for the first time aboard a F1, Sébasien Buemi already knows this circuit having driven here in the GP2 Asia Series last year. The young Swiss quickly showed himself to be on the pace: “we tried a lot of different things on the car. I'm quite happy with what we saw today. Our pace is acceptable, but we still have a lot of work to do. » Buemi's objective is clearly to qualify for Q2 tomorrow. " Who knows? It might rain tomorrow, so we'll see. »

For Sébastien Bourdais, the day was a little more difficult. “The track changed a lot during the sessions and the few drops of rain didn't help matters. This did not help us in our analysis of the car?s behavior. This afternoon we tried something which did not prove effective. We're still figuring out what works and what doesn't work on the car. I noticed a certain difference between the two types of tires. I did a long run with the soft tires, and over time I was pleasantly surprised by the balance of the car, which is much better than on a short stint. »
