Sergio Pérez: “An unfair maneuver”

From a spin from the first meters of the British Grand Prix to the top 10 secured thanks to the penalty imposed on Pierre Gasly (Toro Rosso), after a fight on the track with the Norman which forced him to go off course after a slight contact, Sergio Pérez's Sunday was not easy.

If the two cars from the Force India team finally finished in the points for the second time in a row after Austria, the Mexican believed that a better result was possible.

“I can't be completely satisfied with today's race, Pérez proclaimed. The incident at the start compromised my race. After that, our Grand Prix was very good though. We had a good pace and we overtook a lot of cars. We made the most of the different safety cars and got back into the points. »

The Mexican comes back to the battle at the end of the Grand Prix with Gasly, who according to him deserves the penalty. “I gave him enough space but it wasn’t enough: we still went into contact and I lost my place. I think it was an unfair move. I am satisfied that the FIA penalized Gasly. »
