Status quo for qualifying

The meeting between the FIA and the teams in the paddock of the Bahrain GP did not result in a solution on the qualifying format.

Debates on the format of qualifications in F1 will continue. Jean Todt, the president of the FIA, took part in a meeting with Bernie Ecclestone, the director of the FOM, and the teams in the paddock of the Bahrain Grand Prix to discuss a solution to improve the spectacle during the sessions qualifiers. Despite an hour and a half of reflection, the parties did not reach an agreement to modify the regulations.

A next meeting will be held this Thursday, April 7 with the aim of obtaining unanimity for a new qualifying format for the Chinese Grand Prix contested on the 17th of the same month.
