Follow qualifying for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in live text

It's time for qualifying for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the last of this 2022 season. At the end of the three practice sessions, the trend is clearly towards a battle between the Red Bull and Mercedes. Following on from their double in Brazil, George Russell and Lewis Hamilton intend to confirm their good form in order to end the year in style.

Defeated at Interlagos, Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez want to get back on track and it would not be surprising to see a fierce duel between them and the Silver Arrows. In difficulty at the end of the season, the Ferrari hope to be able to join in this battle for pole position but given the pace displayed by Charles Leclerc et Carlos Sainz in free practice the task does not look easy.

In the duel between Alpine et McLaren, the Oranges seemed more comfortable during the last free practice session this Saturday. Indeed, Daniel Ricciardo et Lando Norris showed good results on soft tires and with a less loaded tank whileEsteban Ocon et Fernando Alonso suffered somewhat.
