Successful test for Esteban Ocon with Lotus

Max Verstappen proved that it was possible to pilot a F1 despite only one season played in car. The future pilot Toro Rosso however failed to beat Esteban Ocon who was offered two F1 testing sessions as a reward for his title. The first was carried out with Lotus F1 Team on the Valencia circuit (Spain) for two days with the E20 from the 2012 season, the Prema Powerteam driver also being a resident of the Lotus F1 Team Junior.

“The testing of the E20 went very well”, assured the 18-year-old Frenchman. “I had to adapt very quickly to the single-seater and I did quite well. The car was easy to drive, stable and a lot of fun. It was fantastic. I am very satisfied with these two days of testing and I hope to have the opportunity to get back into an F1 car soon. » Esteban Ocon will not have to wait too long since his next F1 test session is scheduled for October 29 in Fiorano (Italy) with the Team Ferrari.

Esteban Ocon seems to have impressed the members ofenstone for his debut at this level. “Esteban drove very well during these two days of testing, carrying out all the required tasks”, confirmed Lotus F1 Team Track Operations Director Alan Permanente.. “It is certain that he has great talent because he quickly found speed and was comfortable behind the wheel. His feedback and his aptitude are very promising. »
