Theissen stays with BMW

Mario Theissen, director of BMW Motorsport, will no longer be Formula 1 next season. Loyal to BMW for more than thirty years, Mario Theissen will therefore follow the destiny of the German manufacturer and not that of the Hinwil team, bought by Peter Sauber, founder of the team and who had resold the majority of his shares to BMW in 2005. “ Peter Sauber takes over and will lead the team », confirms Theissen.

The Swiss businessman will therefore have to completely review his organizational chart for the next season. At the same time, Sauber-Ferrari must receive confirmation from the FIA ​​of its participation in the next Formula 1 world championship.
