Timo Glock wants better in Türkiye

Timo Glock, ancien pilote Toyota, savait que sa première moitié de saison avec Virgin Racing, écurie débutante en F1, would be difficult. But the accumulation of disappointments is starting to weigh on the German driver, who would like to see the finish line more often. He hopes to experience a more satisfying Turkish Grand Prix than his last outing.

« The Monaco race was disappointing for me and the whole team, says Glock. I hope that we can return to a more positive meeting, as we were able to experience before that, in Spain. Especially since I really like the Istanbul Park circuit. It's a circuit that really tests you as a driver. »

Like many of his colleagues, Timo Glock surrounds turn 8 in red, one of the most demanding of the season. “ There are many crucial points on this circuit but the one that all the drivers love is turn 8, with its three apex points, and which is really nice. Cars and drivers experience 5 Gs during the seven-second left turn, making it the most physical corner in the world. »

However, Timo Glock will need to be able to count on a competitive and better equipped car in Turkey, while seeking better reliability. Waiting to check the behavior of his car on this circuit, the German driver really wants to hit this track. “ It?s one of my favorite circuits and I can't wait to race there », concludes the Virgin Racing driver.
