Toro Rosso confirms Alguersuari

Jaime Alguersuari will therefore begin a season of Formula 1, after tiptoeing into the big leagues in the middle of last summer, replacing Sébastien Bourdais. Red Bull therefore renews its confidence in the young Spaniard, as Dr Helmut Marko declared at the start of the week (see elsewhere).

« Knowing that he made his debut halfway through 2009, at the Hungarian Grand Prix, without prior testing, he did a good job and was able to progress constantly during the second half of the year, with a mature approach. for his age knowing that he is only 19 years old ", declared Franz Tost, team principal of Toro Rosso.

« This season, he will once again have to face a serious learning curve, all the circuits in the first part of the season being new for him. Jaime's appointment also confirms our commitment to developing the young drivers of the Red Bull Junior Team »

Jaime Alguersuari will therefore team up with Sébastien Buemi, which is beginning its second full season.
