Toro Rosso wants to change its identity in 2020

Are we experiencing the last Grands Prix of the Faenza team under the name of Toro Rosso ? The ex-Minardi has in fact filed an official request to change his identity from 2020 and become Team Alpha Tauri and thus promote the ready-to-wear brand which is part of the galaxy Red Bull. 

Such a change requires the green light from the commercial rights holder and the agreement of the commission. F1. All teams were thus invited to vote on the request via an electronic vote. 

The name Toro Rosso appeared in F1 when Red Bull bought the Minardi team at the end of 2005. Since 2006, the small squadra has helped form a quadruple world champion, Sebastian Vettel, as well as two multiple winners in Grands Prix, Daniel Ricciardo et Max Verstappen. 

In 262 participations, Toro Rosso has one victory (Vettel at Monza in 2008), one pole position (ditto), and two podiums, the most recent dating back to the 2019 German Grand Prix with Daniil Kvyat.
