Manor Racing could well not compete in the 2017 season after being placed under administration at the start of the month. Stephen Fitzpatrick's outfit is looking for a new buyer after suffering from the loss of 10th place in the Constructors' Championship to Sauber F1 team.
The only team not to have named its starting drivers for the next season which will begin on the weekend of March 26 in Melbourne for the Australian Grand Prix, Manor Racing no longer has much time to find a viable solution for the year.
However, Reuters agency reports that management was able to pay its employees' salaries for the month of January, providing the team with a reprieve. “They determined that the funds were large enough to make the payments at the end of the month.”, commented a spokesperson for FRP Advisory LLP.
Reuters mentions the date of Friday January 20 for Manor Racing to find a new investor.
