Lewis Hamilton had to achieve the best time because of his penalty imposed. Mission accomplished for the British who limits the damage by only starting in eleventh position this Sunday. The seven-time world champion dominated the three qualifying sessions. On a wet track caused by the presence of rain at the start of Q1, Valtteri Bottas took pole position for this 16th round of the season, in Turkey. He will be accompanied on the front line by Max Verstappen. Last year's pole sitter, Lance stroll, signed the ninth time. Note the fine performance of Charles Leclerc who will start in 3rd position with Pierre Gasly by his side. His teammate at Alpha Tauri, Yuki tsunoda, brings up the rear in this Top 10.

A qualifying session which was disrupted very early by the presence of rain. Several pilots, like Tsunoda or Latifs, spun on a slippery track, like this morning during FP3. Disappointing performance of Daniel Ricciardo who did not manage to get out of Q3, and who will be far behind the other driver McLaren Lando Norris, 7th on the starting grid. On the other hand, Mick Schumacher distinguished himself by qualifying in Q2 and is placed in 13th position for this Grand Prix, unlike Nikita mazepin, which will start at the back of the grid just in front Carlos SainzFernando Alonso, who initially managed to place just behind the Mercedes, will start in 5th position.

After participating in Q3, Carlos Sainz took no risks by not participating in Q2. The Spanish driver is already condemned to start at the back of the grid for a fourth engine change. Sergio Perez, guilty of an inconsequential off-track exit in Q2, will start from 6th place. The start of the Turkish Grand Prix is at 14:00 p.m. this Sunday.

The ranking for this qualifying session.
