Valtteri Bottas: “It will be harder for us”

Over the last two races, the main opponent of Mercedes W05 Hybrid is named Valtteri Bottas. Twice the Finn from the stable Whole grained climbed up behind Lewis Hamilton in England then behind Nico Rosberg in Germany. But on the Hungarian turnstile, the FW36s did not show their advantage this Friday, as Bottas admits.

“It was an interesting Friday, we tested all the new things and I'm really happy that we worked as we expected, so we took a step forward with the car. But we must recognize that it will be more difficult for us than during the last three Grands Prix. It's going to be really tight tomorrow, so we have to work hard to find every tenth, and maybe even every hundredth of a second, that we can gain with the set-up. »

Same story with Felipe Massa, not in great spirits today at the Hungaroring, who nevertheless notes the progress made thanks to the introduction of a new rear wing on the English single-seaters.

The third and final free practice session will begin tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. and will be followed live on AUTOhebdo.fr.
