Valtteri Bottas regains victory in a… bike race

If most F1 drivers spend their vacations in the sun and/or sea, Valtteri Bottas is not made of the same wood. The Finn took advantage of his free time to participate in a bicycle race in the United States, which he ended up winning.

Valtteri Bottas regains victory in a… bike race

We knew the Valtteri Bottas assisting in the women's Tour de France in which his partner, Tiffany Cromwell, took part, we now know Bottas himself as the winner of a cycling event lasting more than 96 kilometers, with almost 700 participants at the start. If that's not a dream vacation, we don't understand!

Already his second participation

The Finn was in fact participating, for the second year in a row, in the SBT GRVL race, on one of four grueling road and gravel courses, in Steamboat Springs in the United States. If Bottas took part in the so-called “Red” event, which is only the second longest stage out of the four offered, he still achieved the feat of finishing first in his age category – fourth in the general – completing his tour in less than three hours.

His partner, Australian professional cyclist Tiffany Cromwell, won the women's race on the blue course, nearly 160 kilometers long. Last year, Valtteri Bottas had already finished on the podium in the cycling event in his age category, proof if further proof was needed that the Finn improves over the years like good wine.

What if we gave the Bottas/Cromwell couple a new objective for next year? Like for example, tackling the endless black course of the SBT GRVL, 228 kilometers long. We believe in !
