It doesn't happen often these days but Max Verstappen was forced to lose this Saturday during the Sprint Race of the São Paulo Grand Prix. At the head of the pack after the dismissal of Lewis Hamilton at the back of the grid, the driver Red Bull did not achieve a very good takeoff and saw Valtteri Bottas dive inside the first corner before losing it for good.
« It wasn't my best start, he admits. I was on a harder tire so I think that didn't necessarily help me. I also had trouble putting all the energy into it. It wasn't the easiest start. Despite everything, our pace is good but unfortunately when you are close here it is difficult to overtake, you quickly overheat your car. »

Beaten this Saturday by Valtteri Bottas and Mercedes, Max Verstappen promises to return to the charge this Sunday, the day of the race, the real one. “ They (the Mercedes) are faster than us in a straight line. You must therefore exit the last corner very well to try to overtake them. It wasn't possible today, I'll try again tomorrow (Sunday). » An appointment has been made.
