Verstappen is furious: “From now on, in qualifying, I’m going to screw them”

Max Verstappen (Red Bull) is not angry about the end of Q3 in Shanghai (China), where Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) as well as the two Renaults overtook him while he kept an excessively slow pace. Which did not allow him to compete in his second attempt.

Verstappen is furious: “From now on, in qualifying, I’m going to screw them”

It's a funny incident that Max Verstappen (Red Bull) was involved at the end of qualifying for the Formula 1 Chinese Grand Prix, Saturday April 13. The Dutchman did not benefit from a second attempt in Q3, for the simple reason that he crossed the timing line after the end of the countdown!

The youngest winner of a GP was green with rage during his return lap to the pits. "They (the other drivers of Q3. Editor’s note) are honestly wankers. Everyone follows each other and they screwed up everything. You try to be nice but everyone does it the wrong way. »

Max Verstappen criticizes the behavior of his opponents, who slowed down in order to give themselves enough free space at the start of their timed lap, but who then increased the pace before him. Red Bull was therefore forced to let several cars pass.

“We were carefully one behind the other, but suddenly Vettel (Ferrari) overtook me, as well as the Renault, explains the one who will start fifth on Dutch television Ziggo Sport. So they ruined my preparation, whilethere is an unwritten rule that you should just follow the rider in front of you. »

More never mind. From now on, in qualifying, I'm going to screw them. » It has the merit of being clear !
