Verstappen sets the benchmark for FP1 in Singapore

Max Verstappen was the fastest in the first practice session for the Singapore GP. Valtteri Bottas ended up in the wall while Charles Leclerc suffered mechanical problems.

Verstappen sets the benchmark for FP1 in Singapore

Max Verstappen (Red Bull) set the best time in the first practice session of the Singapore GP, with a lap completed in 1’40”259. It is Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) which was the closest with a little more than a tenth behind.

The Mercedes follow with Lewis Hamilton more than 6 tenths and Valtteri Bottas more than a second. The Finn was only able to cover 14 loops after going off the track just after the Tunnel.

 

 

Alexander albon (Red Bull) completes the Top 5 ahead Nico Hulkenberg (Renault) Et les McLaren de Carlos Sainz Jr and Lando Norris. THE Toro Rosso by Daniil Kvyat and Pierre Gasly finish in the Top 10 ahead of Daniel Ricciardo (Renault) and Romain Grosjean (Haas).

The Alfa Romeo of Antonio Giovinazzi and Kimi Räikkönen precede the Racing Point of Lance stroll and the Haas of Kevin Magnussen. Behind Robert Kubica (Williams) and Sergio Pérez (Racing Point), Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) only took 19th position with only 12 laps covered. The Monegasque suffered gearbox problems half an hour from the end of the session. George Russell (Williams) completed the ranking.

 

 

EL2 of the Singapore GP will be contested this Friday from 14:30 p.m. on Canal+ Sport Weekend.
