Vettel: Button slowed me down

Sebastian Vettel was quite upset after qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix. The pilot of the Team Ferrari avoided the pitfalls posed by rain to aim for the front of the grid at the Hungaroring, but the four-time world champion was, like most drivers, trapped by the consecutive yellow flag in the head-to-head race. tail of Fernando Alonso and had to settle for fifth position.

The German, however, believes that he was able to improve his time as Nico Rosberg did, if he had not been slowed down by Jenson Button, eighth in qualifying.

“I don’t think it’s fair. We got the yellow flag at the end and Jenson didn't get out of the way. Otherwise, I could have easily placed in the top three, assures Sebastian Vettel. He had to sleep. He didn't expect a pilot to continue and he gave up. He didn't move away in turn 12, he didn't realize it until the next one, but I had already lost too much time. »

“I was on the same lap as Nico (Rosberg) and you saw what he achieved. It is kind of a shame. We made changes after the last practice session and they worked. The car was alive, but we couldn’t prove it.”, adds the Ferrari driver.

Qualifying didn't go any better for Kimi Räikkönen as the 2007 world champion only took 14th position after being trapped by improving conditions in Q2.
